Your sailing experience starts once you meet us at the sailing yacht (pick-up transfer service is optional and available upon your request, after booking). One of our cruise representatives will greet you and give you an overview of the cruise itinerary.

Once an overview of the yacht and important safety information are introduced by the crew, we lift the anchors and set the sails to Mykonos southern coastline where a slew of gorgeous beaches are located and protected from the “Meltemi”, north strong winds, where Mykonos takes the name from - the “Island of Winds”.

Enjoy a beach safari where you can soak up the spectacular views passing the famous beaches of Ornos, Psarou, Platis Gialos, Paraga and Paradise.

We set the sails for 1 hour approximately to reach the uninhabited islet of Rhenia, known also as "Big Delos". Rhenia is accessible only via yacht, making it a small secluded paradise compared to the crowded beaches of Mykonos. The refreshing turquoise salty waters are inviting you for a relaxing swim entering the clear sea by the yacht swimming ladder (pier facilities or tendering ashore are not available). Snorkeling gear is available on board for free use at your convenience.

On board early-dinner is ready with a variety of traditional Greek flavours served with Mediterranean style buffet and a selection of complimentary wine, beers and soft drinks.

After approximately 2 hours spent in the untouched islet of Rhenia, we are ready at 07:00pm to sail back to Mykonos by watching the breathtaking landscape of yellow, orange and red colours while the sun goes down in the very blue Aegean Sea.

Arrival is scheduled by 08:00pm and we will say goodbye in the Greek way with a farewell shot drink toast and returning home full of euphoria for having shared with you our Greece, whose destiny is bound to the sea and sailing is the best way to experience it.

The meeting point is subject to change and to be confirmed the day before, depending on the current weather conditions and on the finalized embarkation point. You will be able to recognize one of the cruise representatives and crew by their t-shirt or sign saying 'Sunfos Alessia Yachting'.

Pick-up and drop-off shuttle service is optional and available upon your request, after booking. Transfers will be arranged either from/ to your hotel or a designated meeting point depending on the location of your accommodation. Please contact us after booking, if required.

Good health is necessary and moderate physical fitness level matches to the sailing cruise requirements • Cases of pregnancy, mobility and health restrictions must be advised before reservation and are subject to reconfirmation in order to ensure the safe participation of the passenger on cruise • Children aged under 2 years old are complimentary • Number of guests may vary according to the yacht allocated and to the current weather conditions as to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.

Mykonos is nicknamed “Island of Winds”. The Cyclades - the complex of islands where Mykonos belongs to - have been geographically shaped from the phenomenon of wind called “Meltemi”. Every summer the low barometric pressure from the Balkans clashes with the higher hot blasts from Africa and in this way the north wind of “Meltemi” is formed. Thus, the wind in Mykonos is completely normal and part of the lifestyle of both locals and visitors. It will ultimately leave its mark on your own Mykonos holiday album. According to the weather during the cruise, the selected beaches for swimming are the most protected ones and less windy. After all, this is also the experience of being on a sailing yacht, setting the sails to the wind needed as it is the primary engine power. Occasionally during the season there might not be enough wind or the convenient wind direction to set sails and only in such cases, the sailing route will be motorized.

Our sailing yachts are fully equipped with all the necessary safety measures and tools required by the Greek Law, such as life jackets, life raft & first aid kit. The safety of our guests is our No1 priority and our dedicated land-based and onboard teams are always available to assist you in order to ensure a safe and enjoyable sailing experience.
